a cantonment town that never got loud
Lansdowne is an army cantonment from 1887 that was never allowed to sprawl, which makes it the quietest hill station within a day of Delhi. Oak and pine, a small lake, Tarkeshwar Mahadev in deodar forest an hour away, and almost nothing else to do, which is the point.
The next departure of each trip, from its boarding city, at the fare for the sharing you pick.
Kiraya per person, us shehar se jo likha hai. Seat WhatsApp pe pakki hoti hai.
Saare 31 tripsAll year. Winter is cold and clear with occasional snow, summer is a straightforward escape from the plains, and the monsoon is green and quiet.
About six hours from Delhi by road, one of the closest genuine hill stations to the city. Kotdwar is the railhead, 40km below.
Lansdowne is run by the Garhwal Rifles and stays deliberately undeveloped: no nightlife, few shops, early closing. That is the reason to come, not a shortcoming.
Our Lansdowne trips start at ₹5,000 per person on quad sharing, from Delhi. Each trip page lists what the fare includes, what it doesn't, and the extras you may pay for.
Yes. You book a seat on a group trip, not a private tour, and share a room or tent at the sharing you pick: quad, triple or double. Ask us on WhatsApp about rooming before you book.
