India's ski slope, under Nanda Devi
Auli is a ridge of meadow and oak at 2,800m that turns into a ski slope in winter, with Nanda Devi filling the skyline. It is quieter than the Himachal snow towns and the views are bigger, which is most of the reason to make the longer drive.

Saare 31 tripsDecember to March for snow and skiing; April to June for the Gorson Bugyal meadows in green. The ropeway runs most of the year but shuts in bad weather.
Joshimath is the base, around 12 hours by road from Delhi through Rishikesh, and Auli is 15km above it by road or ropeway.
Snow in Auli depends on the winter. January and February are the safest bet; December can be thin. Skiing lessons and gear are rented on the slope and are not part of a basic fare.
Our Auli trips start at ₹5,000 per person on quad sharing, from Delhi. Each trip page lists what the fare includes, what it doesn't, and the extras you may pay for.
