apple orchards on the Bhagirathi, on the way to Gangotri
Harsil sits in the Bhagirathi valley below Gangotri, among deodar forest and apple orchards, with the old wooden Gartang Gali skywalk nearby. It is one of the quietest stops in Uttarakhand that still has a road to it.
April to June and September to early November, before the Gangotri road gets snow. Apples are picked in August and September.
A long day by road from Delhi through Rishikesh and Uttarkashi, around 12–14 hours, which is why our trip runs the first leg overnight.
Harsil is a small village with few shops, few ATMs and patchy network. That is the appeal, but carry cash and download your music before the climb.
Our Harsil trips start at ₹5,000 per person on quad sharing, from Delhi. Each trip page lists what the fare includes, what it doesn't, and the extras you may pay for.
Yes. You book a seat on a group trip, not a private tour, and share a room or tent at the sharing you pick: quad, triple or double. Ask us on WhatsApp about rooming before you book.
